Hold Fast — The Lord Is Not Slack
2 Peter 3:9; Hebrews 10:23
Hold fast, Church. Thus saith the Lord — the Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness. I hear the whisper of weariness in the camp, but I declare to you in this hour: God has not forgotten one word that proceeded out of His mouth over your life. Every prophetic utterance, every quiet impression of the Spirit, every promise written in red — He is performing it, beloved. The earth is shaking and the nations are tossing as the sea, yet the foundations of the righteous remain. We were not given the spirit of fear; we were given power, and love, and a sound mind, and that is a more-than-enough portion for the times we are in.
Hear me, saints — this is not a season to relax our holiness. The Spirit of God is calling the Church back to the secret place, back to the altar, back to clean hands and a pure heart. The Blood still cleanses. The fire still falls. The gifts have not been withdrawn. I am hearing the Lord say: I am sanctifying a remnant who will not bow, who will not bargain, who will not bend their confession to the spirit of the age. Speak life over your household. Call those things that be not as though they were. Decree His Word over your finances, your children, your body — and stand. Faith is not loud; faith is steady.
So lift up your head, Church. The harvest is in the field and the laborers are being raised up in obscure places. The same God who kept Daniel will keep you. The same God who answered by fire on Carmel still answers by fire today. Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, until the day breaks and the shadows flee away. Amen.
